Adelaide to Perth! A great opportunity for a couple of Kiwi Mates to get on board and raise some funds to help fight this terrible disease. My long time friend Gordon Wilson and I are reaching out to everyone we know to help with this great cause. We are pleased to announce that we're taking part in the Shitbox Rally 2024 and will be driving a car valued at just $1500 from Adelaide to Perth raising money for the Cancer Council. We head off on the 12th of April and will cover over 3800km before arriving at our destination via the Northern Territory on the 20th of April. What could go wrong!
The rally is not a race, its a fun, unpredictable adventure with participants travelling at their own pace in smaller groups. Cars often break down but no one is ever left behind and each night is spent camping under the stars celebrating the days achievements. This is a great opportunity to experience some of Australia's vast and beautiful countryside and make lifelong friends along the way.
Shitbox Rally is the largest community lead fundraiser for Cancer Council in Australia and is now in its 14th year. Part of the participation is that all teams have to raise a minimum of $5,000 but most teams raise well above this amount as you can see with the Autumn 2024 rally target set at $2,000,000 plus.

It all adds up to an incredible opportunity to see Australia’s vast and beautiful countryside and make lifelong friends, many brought together after experiencing cancer themselves or seeing cancer impact family and friends.
