After a fantastic experience on the 2023 Shitbox rally from Rockhampton to Hobart (video below during which you all very kindly helped us raise over $7.5k for the wonderful Cancer Council), we hope and believe the old Grey Commodore Wagon can do it one more time…..
Hence…. with your great support once again, team Grey? No Mad! will be entering the seemingly crazy but very exciting Shitbox Autumn 2024 Rally going from Adelaide to Perth via Oodnadatta and Yulara!!
We are also planning that “Rock to Rock” will also be a significant feature on the car (and if we are brave enough - also our fancy dress costumes) which is very fitting given we will be visiting the largest monolith on the planet - Uluru!
So please, please, please dig deep and generously to help us raise another $5,000 for the vital research being done to find new cures and treatments for cancer that impact so many friends and families!
Overall the last Rally we did raised over $2million. Even more impressive however is that since 2010 Shitbox Rallies have raised over $37 million - being the largest event based fund raising activity for the Cancer Council.
Although a huge trip, David and Jeff will undoubtedly have great fun along the way, but the fundraising is the hardest but also the most important part….
Please use this page to donate and help us help the Cancer Council, who are helping us all!
We will also use this page to post regular updates - so sincere thanks again for your great support.

Shitbox Rally is the adventure of a lifetime challenging participants and their cars, worth no more than $1,500, on a 7 day drive across Australia to raise money for cancer research.
The rally is not a race – it’s a fun, colourful, unpredictable adventure with participants travelling at their own pace in smaller groups. Vehicles often break down but “we never leave anyone behind” and each night is spent camping beneath the stars and celebrating the day’s achievements. It all adds up to an incredible opportunity to see Australia’s vast and beautiful countryside and make lifelong friends, many brought together after experiencing cancer themselves or seeing cancer impact family and friends.
Since it’s inception the rally has been the largest fundraiser for the Cancer Council nationally.
Shitbox Rally is a dedicated fundraising event for cancer research with funds going to Cancer Council.
Cancer Council is one of the largest non-government funders of cancer research in Australia. We conduct and fund research studies across all cancers and all stages of the cancer journey.
Thanks to the community funds raised such as Shitbox Rally we can fund world-class research that reduces the impact of cancer for everyone.
$41 million over the past 13 years has been raised by Box Rallies to date, supporting ground-breaking projects such as:
These projects wouldn’t be possible without your support.
